How contended
are you?
Just look on how life has treated you. Your food, clothing, home,
family, health, education, career, earnings, entertainment, luxuries
compare to the missions, has not life been rather kind to you?
Perhaps there's just this one thing left that will make you totallly
contented. The incomparable moral satisfaction of sharing just a mite
with someone, whose worldly belongings do not include even one set of
decent clothing.

Case history of Miriam
One day the phone rang in the office and I was asked if I would be
willing to take a babny girl who had been lift in the hospital to die,
in south India.Immediately, I said "YES" and the following day, Vimala
and two of our staff went by car on a 4 hour journey to collect the
baby.
When the baby was handed over to Vimala, it took her a while to get
over her shock at the confidtion of the child. You can see the
condition from the photograph. The baby weighed only 800 grams and had
had only rice water poured down her throat for 21 days. she was brought
back to Chennai immediately and was fed milk for the first time, after
which she became very ill with vomiting and diarrhea. She was taken
immediately to a child specialist who resed to look at her becuase of
her condition. He later relented and she was admitted into the
Intensive Care of a local hospital. In the Intensive Care the nurses
showed discrimination of her ugliness.
After 16 days, we discharged her, and Vimala Gracie fed her every hour
night and day for months. Gradually we noticed the baby changing in
abeautiful way. May said she would be mentally retartded, but praise
God, she is now 5 years of age. She studied in LKG and is now in UKG
and is doing extremely well in her studies. She has a beautiful singing
voice and is a delight to all of us in CMCT. She has an unusually
cheerful disposition and can endear herself to anyone. She is greatly
loved by all and we believe God has brought her to us for a purpose. By
watching her life, we can feel the presence of the Lord in her.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Can I choose the person I want to sponsor?
A. Certainly, you can select, boy, girl, or women of any age group, or
family.
Q. Can I monitor their progress?
A. Yes, we strongly encourage you to build a relationship with the
person you sponsor,. They love to receive letters or even little gifts,
and we will keep you posted on the way they are developing. They will
wirte regular letters to you and we will let you know their education
progress at least once a year. They would love to receive a smally gift
for their birthday or for Christmas, of if you wish, on your advice we
can purchase something here for you.
Q. What is the level of my financial monthy commitment?
A. As much as you can spare to rescue a child, poort women or family.
On a average, we suggest NZ $50.00, Australian $45, US $35.00, RM
125.0, and Singapore $50. To sponsor a whole family we would suggest a
double the amount. If it is not possible for you to sponsor a child
totally, may be a friend could join with you. We take care of the
children, providing education until they complete their schooling and
get a training for their future, so that they can be qualified, and
secure suitable employment. Apart from their education we provide them
with spiritual and physical needs. Our sponsorship is a holistic
program, which includes medical and dental treatment as well.
When we set up the sponsorship for you we will give you the address in
your country where the sponsorship money can be sent to make it easy
for you. We will also provide a photograph of the person you are
sponsoring and a case history of their background. In USA you can
receive a tax rebate receipt, and this will be available soon in other
countries also.
Q. Can I take up part sponsorship?
A. Yes, you cold take up the boarding, lodging, clothing, educational,
health, or miscellaneous expenses depending upon how much you wish to
offer. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
Q. How often do I make remittance?
A. You could decide whether you wish to make monthly, bi-montly,
quarterly, half-yearly or annual remittances. Kindly plan this in
consultation with us so that you can make necessary arrangements with
the bank or Mission Office.
In each country we have a mission office, who will forward your
sponsorship amount to us.
Perfect accounting is maintained and we assure you that the entire
amount is spent on the person you are sponsoring. CMCT does not take
out anything for overheads. We have a file for each child which can be
inspected by you at any time. CMCT looks entirely to the Lord to
provide for all other overhead expenses.
Q. when does my relationship with the person end?
A. This never really does. Even after she or he grows up and is settled
well in life, the benefactor is always remembered with immense
gratitude. You may continue to correspond as long as you wish.
Further remittances from you, if you wish, will be carried over to
sponsor another person, and God's work moves on, to further His purpose.

" In my travel to many countries I have not seen a more impressive and
comprehensive programme of rescue, relief and the education of orphaned
and abandoned children. I was overwhelmed by the breadth of caring done
by her and her team. Her work for Christ in the teeming city of Chennai
shines as the brightest of lights and is deserving of the highest
praise and financial and prayer support.
