Just look back on how life's treated you.
Your food, clothing, home, family, health, education, career, earnings,
entertainment, luxuries-compared to the millions, has not life been rather
kind to you?
Perhaps there's just this one thing left that will make you totally
contented. The incomparable moral satisfaction of sharing just a mite with
someone, whose worldly belongings do not include even one set of decent
clothing.

Given below are answers to
some of the regualar queries we get from
prospective sponsors.
Q. What
is my financial commitment?
A.
As much as you can spare for the sake of a child, a poor woman or a family. A
two or three year old child needs less and the expenditure increases as they grows olders.
On an average, in order to cater to basic needs, the amount would be around
US $40, or a family sponsorship $100 per month or its equivalent in other
currencies. Any contribution over this amount, would
be utilised to sponsor another person. Sponsorship
of individuals or families can be arranged.
Q. Can I
take up part sponsorship?
A.
Yes. You could take up the boarding, lodging, clothing, educational, health
or miscellaneous expenses depending upon how much you wish to offer. Any
contribution is greatly appreciated.
Q. How is
my remittance spent?
A.
CMCT wishes to assure you that the amount remitted by you is spent entirely
towards sponsored person only, for the purposes mentioned as above, Any
amount left unspent in any month is remitted in an account favouring the sponsored person.
Perfect accounting is maintained and presented to the sponsor on demand.
Q. How
often do I make remittance?
A.
You could decide whether you wish to make monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly,
half-yearly or annual remittances. Kindly plan this in consulation
with us so that you can make necessary arrangements with the bank or Mission
Office.
In each country we have a mission office, who will forward your gift for you.
Q. Do I get
to choose the person I want to sponsor?
A.
Certainly. You can select a boy or girl or a woman, of any age group. We try
our best to match your preference.
Q. Can I
monitor the progress of the person?
A.
Infact, we strongly encourage you to build a relationship
with the person. We keep you constantly posted on the way he or she is
shaping up it. It is a great solace for them to receive letters from their
sponsor. You could exchange photographs, and little gifts from you bring them
great cheer. They are the happiest if you could go over to Chennai to visit
them.
Q. When
does my relationship with the person end?
A.
this never really does. Even after she or he grows up and is settled well in
life, the benefactor is always remembered with immense gratitude. You may
continue to correspond as long as you wish. Further remittances from you, if
you wish, will be carried over to sponsor another person,
and God's work moves on, to further His purpose.

Suzanna
At the end of July 1995 a baby girl was brought to us in a pitiful situation
as you see. She had beenb left on a side walk of a
market. A lady selling plastic bangles, looked after
her for one week. She already had 7 children. She took this baby to the
police station. The police gave the address of a borstal.
As the lady was taking her on the bus, the Lord arranged for some of our
staff to be also on the same bus. Other people who also knew us and saw our
staff told this ladynot to put the child in that
and that CMCT would look after this baby. The next morning two ladies arrived
carelessly carrying little Suzanna. She was like a
bag of rubbish to them. She had no clothes, a distended stomach, a severe chest cold. Her hair was discoloured
and matted. When we heard the story and saw the baby we immediately had
compassion. We have brought her up and you can now see how beautifully Suzanna is developing because some body came forward to
sponsor so that we could look after her and educate her.
