Every month, staff from the Social Service Caring ministry visit our two projects, one in Chittoor in Venganampalli village on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and the other one is in Kastur, an interior village in Mysore State. In both these villages people live in poverty with very little facilities around. We have a cross stitch centre where a large number of young girls attend and do beautiful work. We have also started a Creche in Venganampalli village for the younger children. We help the children of the women who work in the Centre by paying their school fees and we try to provide clothing for the children. These two Centres are a tremendous blessing to many women as their families all live in terrible poverty. In Venganampalli village we have built a Centre and this has become a Haven of Hope for all the people who come and are trained and provided with a mid-day meal. We also take a medical team once a month and many people come from surrounding villages to see our doctor and receive free medication.
