From 1967 Girls' and Boys' rallies have been conducted in the city of Chennai. Today there are 32 such rallies. These are for children from 8 years of age and over. This is a programme similar to Girls' Guides and Boys' Scouts. The programme is for 2 hours. All learn team participation with games, competitions and learn many handicrafts. They do projects for badges and have many experiences enabling them to be efficient in all areas of their lives. The whole programme is geared to train young people to be educational in all areas of their life and to be disciplined, good citizens of India. Every year Boys' and Girls' camps are held. These camps are very successful with large numbers attending and enjoying a very happy, profitable time with their leaders. Many young people are benefited. Camps are conducted for 4 days. Several hundred attend each camp and the programmes are exciting with spiritual messages, games, competitions, film shows, treasure hunts etc, Team points are given and all return home with prizes they have earned.
