| The Lord has enabled us to have one complete floor in our
new building for our medical work. Now, we have one complete floor in
our building for a 24-hour hospital. We have 8 doctors working full
time and 10 part time specialists. More than 200 patients attend the
hospital from all over the city daily. We have a Laboratory, X-Ray
unit, Pharmacy, Dental department, Ophthalmology departments, Scan,
Labour room and Operation theatre. We three wards, and an intensive
Care unit. We charge small fees to those who can afford it and seek to
provide free medical help to the poorest of the poor. The medical work
is meeting a great need in many lives. A psychiatrist comes one
afternoon a week. We do Cataract operations. A plastic surgeon operates
on many burn patients. Medical Camps are conducted in slums and village
areas. Chinnakuppam Tsunami village good use of our hospital.
Now we are able to undertake many operations in our
hospital.
 
All the ministries that have been mentioned are a part of C.M.C.T They
provide tremendous help to hundreds of people every day. Approximately
1500 people are helped daily in various ways. In this ministry
tremendous challenges confront us daily. We are seeking God’s help,
looking entirely to God to provide for every financial need that we
have everyday. We do not have any Government funds. We look to God
daily to provide for the tremendous needs for this ministry. “He is
faithful”. We are daily reliant on God to give us His wisdom, His
discernment, His love and His compassion for all who come to us in
needs. We would like you to become a prayer partner with us to

Dental Hospital
Nature of work done in the Dental Clinic .The Dental clinic in CMCT
started functioning on the month of November 1999. Initially all the
basic equipment’s for running the clinic was supplied by a couple from
the U.K. ( Dr.David and his wife Rosemary) They even took the trouble
of coming down here and helped us to set up the clinic. They provided
us with the dental chair , compressor ,some basic equipment and
materials and an X-ray machine also to start off with. We have a
dentist, Dr. Rinku. K. George (M.D.S.) He has been with us since the
clinic opened. He has one junior Qualified Dentist and two assistants
to help him. We keep case sheets for recording the dental history and
the treatment done to the patients. From the start itself we had a
steady influx of patients. Maxillo Facial Surgeries and cluf pulletes
surgery are also being conducted.

{AN OPERCULECTOMY BEING PERFORMED ON MASTER KIRAN (9
YEARS OLD)}
The upper central incisors were not erupted in 9
year old Kiran.
Thus over the past 1 year, Selfless help from some
very wonderful people all over the world has helped to mould the
dental clinic in CMCT into a very Sophisticated one and for all this
we sincerely thank the God almighty for blessing our Dept,and
guiding us through difficult times.
After performing the surgery we can see that
both the incisors have erupted. CMCT is in the
heart of Chennai and is easily reachable by road and train from all
parts of Chennai. Presently we have a fairly good number of
Outpatients coming to our clinic the hostel children in CMCT,and
the Bethany school children, most of who come from very poor
families.The clinic aims to provide quality Dental treatment for the
poor and operates in a non profit basis.
The kind of work that we do here are the basic general dentistry
works like extraction,Filling.. (Composite filings, Amalgam
fillings, Glassionomer fillings, Temporary fillings like ZOE and
Dycal), Root canal Treatments, Apiecetomics, Full mouth oral
prophylaxis and polishing, Crowning and Fixed partial denture or
bridging of teeth (Ceramic,Ordengold, Vittalium with acrylic
facing and full acrylic temporary crowns with acrylic facing and full
acrylic temporary crowns ), Minor Impactions,Full dentures,
Acrylic partial dentures,Removable and fixed Orthodontic
treatments,and Dental X-ray.

Opthamology
Most of the patients coming to our clinic are either having some
refractive error or cataract. Patients with cataract are operated after
investigating all the other parameters. 50% of the patients have to be
treated totally free as they cannot afford it and from the poorest of
the poor backgrounds,rest 50% may pay some amount towards their
treatment. Now we have been provided with a computer eye testing
equipment which enhances standart and quality of the Department. Very
poor patients are supplied with free spectacles.
 
Bethany Healthcare:
We have two general wards, a labour room, a post-operative ward, and
operation theatre. No intensive care unit. |
