My greatest
desire in presenting this Website is to record the faithfulness of God
toward the work of Christian Missions Charitable Trust from the first
day until now.
From the age of thirteen, living in
New Zealand, I felt the call on my
life from God to the poorest of the poor living in Tamil Nadu. I obeyed
that call and came to India in 1964 with the motto ever before me
"Where there is no vision the people perish".
After
Studying Tamil Language and started girls' rallying work and
seeing the great needs of the girls, It was a very humble beginning in a
small rented garage in Chennai
(Madras) which God graciously put His hand upon, and which has become a
blessing to many.
In 1979, CMCT was officially
registered as a charity under the TN
Society Registration act and what began with one girl has now developed
into a large organization employing more that 400 people. My aim is,
and has always been to uplift the poor and to train them in an
occupation which would give them a measure of independence and
self-esteem.
I am so grateful for the many years I
have been able to work for the
poor in India.
